Even in the midst of all this

May 4, 2020 By Cynthia English 2 Comments

Even in the midst of all this

Life goes on

Hearts beat

Seeds are planted and buds are starting to show

Flowers bloom

Bringing desperately needed color into the world

Babies are born

Eggs hatch

Tadpoles emerge from murky waters

So too will we emerge

Born anew

Into a new way of life

Breathe deeply

The crisp air of spring

And live

    Cynthia,
Your poem reminds me of the legend of the Phoenix in Greek mythology, who lived for 500 years and flew too close to the sun and burned up and died. He arose from the ashes and was reborn stronger than the first. It is a story of life, death, and resurgence, pairing nature where change is constant, like the ebb and flow of the waves in the sea and the circle of life of flora and fauna flourishing in the wilderness.

Way cool! Some very valid points! I appreciate you penning this write-up and the rest of the website is extremely good. Godiva Gaultiero Trip
