I took a walk with God today
Down the paths
And through the fields
Laid out before me
I had no agenda or time limit
We just walked
And talked
And I wondered my wonderings aloud
And God listened
The feel of the grass
Beneath my hands
As a sat looking up
At the blue and cloudless sky
My senses came alive
In my time with the Lord
Colors became brighter
Sounds clearer
And God spoke
I talked with God today
As with an old friend
Until time got away from us
And it was time to once again walk on
